French Bad Boy
Taking its name from the French slang for “bad boy,” the Voyou bag was first introduced alongside Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 2023 women’s collection. What sets it apart from other bags is its slouchy v-shaped silhouette–creating a relaxed and sophisticated look that’s perfect for both casual and formal wear.
For Fall-Winter 2024, Givenchy takes all the classic Voyou elements and presents it in a new vermilion shade. Available exclusively in medium size, the vermilion Voyou is crafted in shiny tumbled leather with a subtle grainy effect and features gold and silver hardware–creating a luxurious, bold, and fiery masterpiece.
Shape of Voyou
Bad boys have a soft spot, too. Givenchy is infusing feminine energy to this edgy lineup with the introduction of a brand new shape to the collection–the P’tit Voyou. It comes in a new flap style, constructed from cloud-soft puffy patent calf leather in seasonal black, vermilion, and silver laminated versions. It features a magnetic closure and a sleek metallic Givenchy logo in front.
Adding functionality to the design, Givenchy introduced adjustable leather straps, fitted with new slim buckles. This allows users to carry it in a variety of ways: over the shoulder or as a clutch. It also has two main compartments and a credit card slot for keeping essentials on hand.
Little Rebel
Good things come in small packages. Wrapping up the collection, Givenchy introduces a scaled-down version of the Voyou–the Nano. It comes in a variety of shades and materials–black and vermillion tumbled calfskin with a subtle grain, laminated silver leather, black satin, and dark navy velvet.
The Nano also has two-tone hardware embellishments, sleek handles, and a removable strap for crossbody wear. Its main compartment accommodates a smartphone, cards, and keys–allowing free-spirited adventurers to fit essentials in a stylish, but easy-to-carry bag.
With the new iterations of the Voyou, Givenchy continues to subvert expectations and push the boundaries of creative expression.
