With the network getting bigger and brighter as they enter a new era, here’s how Kapusos will remember the spark of the night
Last night’s GMA Gala has proven itself to be one of the year’s most iconic celebrations, if not in the history of show business. The boundaries of television networks and media production have transformed immensely over the past years, and it only feels right to celebrate the innovation and camaraderie it has instilled in everyone.

The gala will always be remembered as the event that brought forth possibilities of all kinds. Even before the actual program, the occasion has already given us reasons to look back on it in the years to come. With that, here are MEGA Entertainment’s red carpet highlights for this year’s GMA Gala 2023:
Blooming a fresh start

Elegance that never goes over the top is the expertise of event stylist Gideon Hermosa, and he transformed the red carpet into an entryway to a new world. Fresh blooms in white and grey filled the Marriott Grand Ballroom, and he even added concave pillars for that modern architecture feel.
Binding the bonds of talent
The red carpet witnessed the arrival of young talents and seasoned artists last night. Besides the entertainment industry, members of the news and current affairs, politics, and society also joined the celebration.
Brimming with stylish elegance
From muted palettes to intricately-beaded fabrics, the guests donned a number of sartorial iterations at the red carpet. The GMA Gala 2023 exhibited not only the craftsmanship of their very own stars and personalities, but also the designers and creatives behind the looks of each attendee.
Bringing in a new chapter
Last night, we witnessed the executives of both GMA and ABS-CBN walk the same red carpet. GMA’s bosses Felipe Gozon and Annette Gozon-Valdes, who walked to carpet with husband Shintaro Valdes, were present to celebrate with their stars, as well as ABS-CBN’s very own Cory Vidanes and Carlo Katigbak. While they have been in one room for a number of occasions now due to the collaborations of the two networks, it still really feels like the first time whenever it happens.
Breaking the boundaries
While a number of Kapuso and Kapamilya interactions took place outside of the carpet, one of the most iconic ones is Alden Richards’ moment with the It’s Showtime hosts. The GMA actor exchanged pleasantries with Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, and Anne Curtis. Meanwhile, Vice Ganda gave him a big hug and called him “Pogi!” as they took turns in taking pictures at MEGA Entertainment’s very own photo vignette.
