Hannah Arnold Finishes at the Top 15 of Miss International 2022

Hannah was the only Asian candidate who made it to the Top 15 queens in the competition

After two years of putting the competition on hold, the Miss International pageant finally took place in Tokyo this year. Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold proudly represented our country and made it to the Top 15 out of the 66 representatives.

As part of the Top 15, she reached the Evening Gown segment, donning a bejeweled number.

For her national costume, the beauty queen wore a Maria Clara-inspired baro’t saya designed by Manny Halasan. Paying homage to both Hannah and Manny’s fond childhood memories, they called this piece “Pamana.”

In an Instagram story posted by the candidate, she was all smiles as she thanked her supporters for wishing her well on her journey.

Jasmine Selberg of Germany earned this year’s coveted title, succeeding Sireethorn Leearamwat. Leeramwat, who represented Thailand, was the longest reigning queen in the history of Miss International. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was postponed for two years, extending Sireethorn’s reign.

The Philippines has won the Miss International six times, the most number of crowns in a global competition for the country. In 1964, Gemma Cruz coveted the first title, to be followed by Aurora Pijuan in 1970 and Melanie Marquez in 1979. After 26 years, Precious Lara Quigaman won in 2005, with Bea Rose Santiago continuing the win in 2013. As of writing, Kylie Verzosa is the last Filipina to bag the crown when she won in 2016.
