From maintaining their careers and devoting time for their families to prioritizing their own health, here’s how these celeb mothers keep their work-life balance in check:
Dimples Romana
In an Instagram post from 2020, Dimples shared her own words of wisdom as a super mom. “Work-life balance is super important, especially when you work extremely hard.”
Being a mother of three with different age ranges is no easy task, especially with an active career to couple it with. Her secret? Finding the type of communication that works best for each child. For her eldest Callie, who is studying in Australia, it’s keeping an open line despite the distance. When it comes to her eight-year old son Alonzo, explaining things with patience is the way to go. Lastly, it’s all about spending quality time with her youngest child Elio.
Anne Curtis
During the pandemic, the actress took her sweet mom time and relished in the moments she could spend with her daughter, Dahlia. Now that she is back in her booked and busy era, Anne still makes sure to be present in her child’s daily routine by preparing her looks for the day and bringing her to school.
Even after her mom duties, Anne still continues to do the things she once did pre-Dahlia. That includes flying to different parts of the world for work, joining marathons, hosting for It’s Showtime, and even managing her businesses.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Treating her son like a best friend, Jodi takes every opportunity to explore the world with Thirdy. This is their bonding outside work after the actress’ long shooting and taping days. Whether it’s traveling to another country or just spending a day by the beach, the mom and son duo always make time for each other. In some endorsements, Thirdy even got to join Jodi for a photoshoot, adding more quality time for the two.
Now that her son is older, Jodi also has more time for herself. In 2021, she was able to finish her degree in Psychology. Recently, she has been attending classes at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies. Even with her full schedule, it is good that the actress is not forgetting to nurture herself.
Coleen Garcia
Amari’s mom may no longer be that active in show business as of the moment, but it’s not a decision she regrets. In an interview with Karen Davila, Coleen opened up about her commitment as a hands-on mom. “With the kind of mom I want to be with Amari, I can’t do all of it,” she admitted.
Luckily, the actress still accepts projects from time to time, but with her and her son’s health as something to be heavily considered. Besides working, Coleen is also making an effort to be active on social media. Although this may not be for everyone, fixing yourself up is actually a therapeutic activity and one that the actress does for her travels and postings.
Elisse Joson
Now that she has a number of projects lined up, Elisse is making sure to spend time with daughter Felize before all her tapings and shootings. From a trip to Disneyland to quick restaurant lunch dates, she puts her mom responsibilities at par with her actress ones. Apart from her acting projects, she is also managing her beauty business.
Being the career woman that she is, it’s important for Elisse to take care of herself. She really devotes some time to work out, have a salon appointment, and even get some glam sessions scheduled from time to time. While this can’t be the reality of all working moms, it’s best to really take a break and prioritize their own well-being every chance they get, too.
