It’s been more than a month when we last heard about H&M’s annual featured designer. Now that we know that Simone Rocha’s signature sense of subversive femininity is front and center in the H&M collection, looks like many of her fans worldwide (including us) can easily access her creations now more than ever.
Speaking of her collection, the Swedish fashion giant just unveiled its official campaign film and images for the much-anticipated Simone Rocha x H&M. Shot by Tyler Mitchell—in his notable optimistic style, no less—the campaign invites everyone to step into the Irish designer’s own creative world.
In doing so, we are able to experience the feeling of community, strong femininity, and closeness that underpins the collection. After all, the campaign is a story about friendship, joy, and inclusivity—an ode to moments of openness and congregation. It’s a hopeful message in the midst of a pandemic about the joy that will come when we can meet again and come together to dine, relax, laugh, dance, exchange, and of course, share.
With that said, the fast-fashion brand who has slowly and surely made it a point to have a circular business model in support of having a sustainable line, it was only fitting to feature dynamic individuals whose skills, outlook, and unique beauty share the same passion with Simone Rocha and H&M.

Rising stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Micheal Ward appear alongside Royal Ballet Principal Francesca Hayward and artist Faye Wei Wei. Captivating models Mouchette Bell and Aramish Mangi are also seen in the film while pioneering musician Kelsey Lu plays the beautiful soundtrack of it.
According to Simone Rocha, “I wanted the campaign to capture the spirit and community of the cast as well as the collection itself. Asking Tyler and all the inspiring individuals featured to explore the natural relationships between friends, nature, family, and femininity.”
