Home Decor Ideas From Your Favorite Actresses

Home decor can be your new therapeutic hobby with the help of your favorite actresses and their house tours

February is love month, and that includes giving your space its tender, loving care as well! Having a conscious choice to make your home cozier may not be a walk in the park, especially when you don’t know where to start. Thankfully, you can get your home designing tips from these local celebrities to get you by.

Bea Alonzo, Maris Racal, Solenn Heussaff, Gabbi Garcia, and Andrea Brillantes have placed their hard-earned earnings into their living spaces, and we get why. At the end of their tiring taping days and busy schedule, wouldn’t it be nice to go home and relax in your house? If you also want to spruce and switch up your own abode, here a few tips on how to do it:

An eye for Filipino art

By now, we already know that the country is a one-stop place for different types of visual artists. From paintings to sculptures, you will never run out of options to fill up your wall or your area. In Bea’s house tour, she showed her Filipino-made pieces from artists like Michael Cacnio, Gary Ross-Pastrana, and Chati Coronel. There is a certain charm and understanding to a painting or sculpture when we purchase from fellow Filipinos. For Bea Alonzo, home decor became a mini art exhibit.

Keeping things out

Let’s face it—having a good amount of storage space can fool you. Just because you have a lot, doesn’t mean you just have to stack everything on shelves and in drawers. If you are just starting out on the home decor process, Maris can help you figure out how to make the most of your current stuff. As a music lover, she had her guitars and ukuleles on display; a dual organizing method. Plus, her bedroom shelf is out and about, so keeping it organized is easy. When you can see your clutter, it’s definitely going to motivate you to fix it up.

The green agenda

Solenn is a nature girl and it shows from her destinations and even in her own home. Each area of their house is filled with plants, from the tables to the balcony and even the bathroom. Ease what’s left of your pandemic cabin fever by adding plants to your home. Fake or real, they exude a therapeutic touch to your vision. Varying the size of your plants and trees can easily fill up your space well.

Visualizing the vision

Knowing the feel of your home can filter your theme’s needs and wants. With her home’s tropical glam theme in mind, Gabbi was able to direct and unify the elements of the furnishing. Elements of white have a gold lining for that glam effect while the tropical tones of green and pink come from the furniture such as the velvet couch and foyer chair.

Let there be light

Besides furniture and art fixtures, light is your next best option to elevate your home decor. In Andrea’s room tour, she divided her own third floor space into parts through its lighting. Playing with the temperature of lights from warm to cool and then neon can easily add dimension to your overall home decor. Andrea Brillantes did it best by adding neon fixtures in her little pantry and computer area.
