During interviews, Megan revealed that Mikael played a pivotal role in encouraging her to participate in Miss World back in 2013. She also recounted how Mikael was among the first individuals she reached out to right after securing the first ever Miss World crown for the Philippines. Their journey didn’t end there; the actor stood by her side throughout her reign, and their bond eventually blossomed into marriage. On her third try, the pandemic struck, leading her to withdraw from the competition. Amidst these challenges, actor and Nueva Ecija board member Jason Abalos proved to be a consistent pillar for the beauty queen. Shamcey Supsup and Lloyd Lee’s love story unfolds as a remarkable example of destiny in action. Their paths crossed at the beauty queen’s 25th birthday and victory celebration in May 2011, where Lloyd accompanied his cousin, a Binibining Pilipinas candidate who competed alongside Shamcey. Adding a touch of fate, Supsup shared in an interview that her birthday wish that night was to find a boyfriend.
