For the first time ever, MEGA celebrated the marriage of two respected arts this September: music and fashion. While definitely a standout on their own, it has been proven that the two are better when paired together.
MEGA’s first ever music issue put together the industry’s most promising young artists: Frankie Pangilinan, Gabbi Garcia, Jess Connelly, Kiana Valenciano, KZ Tandingan, Maris Racal and Maymay Entrata. For their covers, each girl was transformed by a theme that was a musical genre typically different from their own. Scroll down to get a close up on each of their beauty looks:
Jess Connelly
While we’re used to hearing Jess’ soothing vocals on her R&B tracks, the signer shows us that jazz suits her just as well. To match this genre, blue and purple tones on the eyes were the main focus on the look.
KZ Tandingan
For the talented KZ Tandingan’s cover, we are brought to the countryside. With folk as the artist’s theme, makeup was on the lighter side–dewy skin, pastels, a simple but standout feline flick. Her hair, on the other hand, was styled to be a fresh chop.
Gabbi Garcia
To capture the essence of electronic music, Gabbi Garcia’s beauty look was all about gloss and shimmer. Her eyes were bold and glittery; her lips, glossy; and her hair was a sleek ponytail.
Frankie Pangilinan
Newcomer Frankie Pangilinan looked every bit a Barbie doll on her MEGA cover. Representing the pop genre, the artist wore matching pink lips and nails, and then had her hair in a high ponytail.
Kiana Valenciano
Who knew the R&B singer could pull off rock as well? Kiana Valenciano stands out in red lids, bold red lips, and an effortless, slightly wet ‘do.
Maymay Entrata
The celebrity embraces a genre quite different from her personality: punk. This is showcased through long, bright nails, a stained lip, a metallic eye look and, of course, choppy bangs.
Maris Racal
Maris Racal shines on her MEGA cover as an R&B singer. She was styled with matte eyes and ultra glossy lids for her makeup. To put it all together, her hair was made to be extra long and curly.
