See how Louis Vuitton shifts to destination dressing with their resort collection, LV By The Pool

It’s refreshing to see how fashion is being infused to various forms of leisure. We’ve seen this with the rise of athleisure and the appeal towards the style of posh sports such as golf and equestrian. Now, another recreational activity that’s been getting a lot of attention in the fashion scene is poolside chic, and Louis Vuitton just got the style down with a recent resort collection called LV By The Pool.

There’s definitely a more refined look when it comes to getting ready for a quick dip by the pool. It’s less decorative and more luxurious with its minimal styling, which is what we see in the pieces of their collection.

Colors that remind us of the brilliant blues of the pool have been infused with Louis Vuitton’s mosaic patterns and solid colors, as seen on the bikinis. Their line of swimsuits also come in the classic cuts, such as the one-piece and bikinis.

Meanwhile, their layering designs are more playful in terms of finish compared to the swimsuits. See-through pieces have mimicked the mosaic patterns, while frills were added to the rompers.

Their summer aesthetic echoed their accessories, as seen on their bags, slides, and trendy bucket hats. Most of the accessories were finished with Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram in blue, beige, and white shades.

The whole collection showcased the flexibility of each design since it’s not too restrictive to its purpose. The Maison has once again proved their versatility with their relaxed wardrobe made for both destination and city dressing.
