The snooze-fest

We’re in the last month of the year, so it’s understandable to feel the weight of your exhaustion at this point in time. Sure, awareness is key, but it’s ideal to use the remaining days of the year to just breathe and have uninterrupted relaxation.

The radio silence

We’re hoping that no one from school or work reaches out during the break, but if you fear that someone would, don’t forget to put your phone on do not disturb mode. And don’t worry—they’ll survive without you for the next few weeks.

The social detox

We get it, your world revolves around your social life, but allow yourself to take the time off of your usual routine. It’s the perfect excuse to let yourself coup up in your space, wear your comfiest pajamas, and just crust away before you go back to work. It’s the holidays, so give yourself a breather from all the unnecessary noise of the social media world.

The life battery recharge

Much like your phone, you also have a limit when it comes to your social battery, and you’re probably at 10% at this point. So how can you recharge? It depends how you like to spend your downtime when you rest. You can walk your dog, bake some cupcakes, or rewatch your favorite reality shows. There are plenty of ways on how you can bring your energy back up before you’re bombarded with deadlines once again.

The guilt-free rest

If you’re the type of person who puts their studies and career as their top priority, you can at least try to set that aside for the break. There are other things you can focus on because—reality check—life happens beyond the screens of your phone and laptop. Instead of feeling like you’re missing out on your responsibilities, think of it as preparing yourself for what’s to come.
