An Icon Gets a New Scent with Gabrielle Chanel


Everyone is familiar with Coco Chanel: the name, the woman—the legend of fashion and beauty. A true icon, Coco personified the fierce, determined woman who, with unwavering grace and elegance, transformed the fashion and beauty worlds. But there is also another side to her, the woman who came first: Gabrielle Chanel.

Gabrielle Chanel was the woman who forged the new idea of femininity that many aspire to today. Coco Chanel was her creation, a character that grew from her childhood nickname. White flowers, an amalgam of ylang-ylang, jasmine and orange blossom, is found at the heart of Gabrielle Chanel; musk, grapefruit, blackcurrant and tuberous complete the mix. The resulting scent is a described as a “floral halo” and produces an olfactory vibration on the skin. Luminous, dreamy, and captivating, Gabrielle Chanel—a modern woman if there ever was one—was made for the woman of today.
