Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards are finally returning to the big screen with a follow-up to the beloved film, Hello, Love, Goodbye
Star Cinemas announced today that the blockbuster hit Hello, Love, Goodbye is officially headed towards its next installment after five years. Reprising their cherished roles are 2-time Box Office Queen Awardee Kathryn Bernardo and recently awarded Box Office King Alden Richards. What a power tandem these two make, and we’re finally getting a reunion on the big screen in the most awaited continuation of the 2019 motion picture: Hello, Love, Again.

In the April 2024 issue of MEGA Magazine, cover star Kathryn Bernardo disclosed she was currently working on the sequel of a previous project. MEGA teased the reveal, and two months later, the KathDen reunion is now imminent in making its mark once again as a tour de force project. Though the production houses are keeping other details tightly under wraps, knowing there is something to anticipate to bask in the glories of Kathryn and Alden’s performances once again is enough for now.
The Box Office Queen even said during the press conference, “We thought we already said our goodbyes, but here we are saying our hellos.”
Alden added, “Maraming supporters of mine and Kathryn want to know what happens next.” In tune with that, his leading lady also chimed in, “We were also wondering if it was better to do a new story or if we were going to continue Hello, Love, Goodbye. But I put myself outside of the cast and realized: I really have a lot of questions about the film, so it’s good that Hello, Love, Again will answer those questions.”
To see a pairing that brings such life to the film as much as Kathryn and Alden do is to see the story in its rawest form. The romantic focus brings forth a chemistry that bursts off the screen, and while many fans may wonder whether something else beyond friendship is brewing behind the scenes, Kathryn and Alden are giving an exquisite demonstration of character chemistry—and how friendship off-screen is foundational to this.
This is not to diminish their individual strong performances. A Very Good Girl and Five Breakups and a Romance are a clear testament to the exhibition of their versatility as actors. It’s fair to say they both individually shine in this respect, but going on screen together again is something we can’t miss.
Suffice to say that the sequel will be just as dynamic, as rich, and real as the characters and the story Kathryn and Alden have left behind.
