The It’s Showtime hosts tugged the heartstrings of the madlang people through their Magpasikat stages featuring reunions we didn’t expect, with Vice Ganda and Billy Crawford topping the list
For 14 years, It’s Showtime has become a noontime habit of Filipinos in the country and all over the world. Hosts, hurados, segments, and even madlang people come and go, but the essence of the show remains the same—there are bonds we keep choosing because they make us live, laugh, and love. Living by the positivity and change they aim to spread, Vice Ganda and Billy Crawford led the series of reunions we witnessed this week in the performances of the hosts.

After their Magpasikat stage, the Unkabogable Superstar talked about her reconciliation with the performer. “Sabi ko, at the end of the day, you are my best friend,” Vice said. “And I love you very much.”
Meanwhile, Billy addressed his past co-hosts and the madlang people before sharing his heartfelt message. “Happy anniversary to us!” he greeted. “Nahanap ko ang aking asawa at nabuo ang aking pamilya dahil sa programang ito. Lahat ng pamilya, nagkakaaway, nagkakalabuan. Pero at the end of the day, in God’s time, Siya na rin ang mag-aayos.” The host also revealed that it was through Coleen that the two friends patched things up. Meanwhile, the couple met through It’s Showtime as co-hosts in 2015, and in 2018, they tied the knot.
Apart from the Vice and Billy’s friendship, here is how the It’s Showtime hosts won the hearts of madlang people through the reunions in their performances.
Bringing the laughter of the past today
Kicking off the Magpasikat stage this year, the team of Jugs, Teddy, and Vhong used the face swap feature of artificial intelligence (AI) applications to bring the comedians of the past back to life. After their fun individual dance segments, the three serenaded the audience with their original song as they embodied Redford White, Babalu, and Comedy King Dolphy. They also paid tribute to other comedians who have passed away, such as Chokoleit, Willie Nepomuceno, Miss Tapia, and German Moreno, also known as Kuya Germs. Not only that, but they also brought out Nova Villa, who spoke to Vhong as if he was Dolphy as she and the Comedy King starred in the classic comedy sitcom, Home Along Da Riles, together.
Keeping the family bond alive
Going next, the team of Karylle, Amy Perez, MC, and Lassy, family was the center of their touching performance. The stage brought together hurado Barbie Forteza and on-screen partner David Licauco, who voiced the animated character, Lulu. Among the star-studded cast of the musical production, the Sang’gres of Encantadia surprised the madlang people the most. Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon joined Karylle in her segment.
Healing as a stepping stone to reunion
This year, Anne was back with her buwis buhay stage, bringing along Ryan and Ogie with her. Guesting in their performance is Anne’s sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who joined the actress in her meaningful aerial spiral stage. This is the second get-together of Jasmine and Anne on the It’s Showtime stage this year. Last August, Jasmine performed again in the show after nine years.
Making peace with the past
It was not only Billy that team Vice, Jackie, and Cianne reunited with in their Magpasikat performance. Making peace with their current lives as they looked back on their younger selves, the team met their kid versions on the screen and talked to them. Their respective family members also joined their act. The hosts’ mothers gave them words of support and encouragement for the lives they are living today.
Reconnecting with reality
Finally, for the team of Jhong, Ion, and Kim, it was all about reconnecting with reality. Showcasing how social media can disconnect us from the real world, they prepared three skits for each member to shine. In Kim’s segment, Janice De Belen, whom she worked with in 2023 for Ina, Kapatid, Anak, also joined her. The team ended their performance with a climb choreography dance, leaving the madlang people in awe as they concluded the series of Magpasikat stages for the week.
