Surrounded by her dearest friends, Iza celebrates her new journey as Baby Wintle soon comes into the world
Playing different roles has always been Iza Calzado’s expertise, be it in show business or in real life. Now that she is just moments away from bringing her baby into the world, she is more than ready to begin her role of being a mother.

Before her scheduled due date, Iza’s friends prepared a special baby shower for the actress at Okada Manila. Dr. Vicki Belo, who co-organized the party, shared more details on Iza’s pregnancy, as well as the actual event.

The dainty set-up
Different flowers of various sizes and colors adorned the suite, making the whole venue bloom. International event designer Rob Blancaflor made sure that the setup was simple and clean, but elegant and sophisticated—just like the blushing mother.
Iza’s radiant aura
The actress’ inner happiness and peace reflected outwardly in her physical appearance even without any makeup on. Vicki Belo herself commented to Iza, “This is the most radiant you’ve been and your eyes are totally twinkling! This is the happiest I’ve seen you since I [met] you 20 years ago.”
For her baby shower look, makeup artist Lala Flores and hairstylist Jan Edrosolan gave Iza some extra glow with peach tones and loose beach waves, respectively. Meanwhile, the actress wore a slitted slip dress courtesy of stylist Kat Cruz-Villanueva.
Mother-to-mother interaction
After the fun gathering, Vicki and Iza had a one-on-one moment to talk about motherhood. The doctor expressed her admiration for the actress’ mindset towards breastfeeding, as the latter stated that it would happen “if God wills it.” While talking about their learnings from pregnancy and parenthood, Vicki also shared her own experience of “old surrogacy.” She opened up that she was not attached to her birth mother because she was placed in the incubator right away.
Ending the interview, Iza talked to her baby and said, “Thank you for, already I can feel it, bringing out the best version of me.”
