To toast this momentous occasion, Jacquemus hosted a runway show for F/W24, named “La Casa”, in the idyllic and modern structure of Casa Malaparte. Models walked his new designs surrounded by the earthy hues of regional architecture and the lively call of Italian culture. The venue serves as a muse, drawing parallels to cinematic history, notably Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 film Contempt, which also captivated the designer’s imagination at the inception of his brand.

In the latest collection, sculpture played a crucial role. A longstanding cornerstone of Jacquemus’ design ethos, this idea adopts lapels that have taken on a sculptural quality, whether oversized or asymmetric. Some even assume the position of covering the shoulders, adding a unique dimension to the ensemble.

Within the color palette, the neutrals stay the same. Blue is a dominant color, encompassing not just the tinge of royalty to the occasion but also referencing the sky—or it can also be the Mediterranean tiles. A certain zebra print alongside classic navy stripes adds a contrast, much like the curves of the body with the cuts of the garments.

The French fashion house has become synonymous with easy elegance, leaving us all feeling we need a baguette in one hand and a perfectly tailored blazer in the other. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi that sets it apart from the rest. Who could forget the infamous tiny bag that became a must-have accessory everywhere? It may have been small in size, but its impact was a bomb.

In addition to their quirky designs, what sets Jacquemus apart is their marketing tactics. Their whimsical campaigns know how to capture the imagination of their audience and create buzz around their brand, whether it’s AI, AR, or VR. Jacquemus knows how to keep people talking—and that’s what makes them so successful.
