More and more Filipinas are being tapped by H&M to be their brand ambassadors. Following Nadine Lustre’s stint, the Swedish fashion giant now casts Jodi Sta Maria to be one part of its global fashion ambassadors.
For H&M Studio’s SS19 campaign, the label handpicked the Filipina Actress along with 70 other global fashion key opinion leaders. According to the Swedish label, a global audience of ambassadors were invited to participate in a scripted narrative based on the collection’s muse, “The Glam Explorer.”
And to truly live up to the narrative’s title, all the global ambassadors flew to Sedona, Arizona. There, they immersed themselves in a glamorous adventure—from a water ballet spectacle, a fictive campsite, to a BMX stunt show.
According to Jodi, “to be chosen to represent the Philippines in this global fashion event is truly an honor. It was a surreal and spiritual experience for [everyone]. H&M organized the activities very well and I had goosebumps and tears towards the end of the show.”
In fact, she shared to MEGA that they even had a jeep tour that brought them to three stops which unveiled the collection dramatically. “But what made the experience more special were the friendships and connections that will surely last a lifetime,” Jodi added.
With the collection inspired by an adventurous muse, Jodi along with the other guests donned their own take on a safari-chic ensemble. They prove that one should never limit what to wear. Let any woman’s wanderlust take her anywhere whether in an azure rooftop pool or a wild desert landscape.

Perhaps that’s why Jodi is the first Filipina actress to be featured on H&M’s global Instagram account. She just impeccably reflect the brand’s DNA: current and inspiring; easy and confident; genuine and transparent; and positive and inclusive.
