Return Of The King: John Lloyd Cruz Is Officially Back In Showbiz

By

After four years of shying away from the showbiz spotlight, veteran actor John Lloyd Cruz is stepping back in his domain – this time, with a familiar network.

After teasing his return five months ago with a special guest appearance in a show alongside GMA-7’s Willie Revillame, John Lloyd Cruz is officially back as a Kapuso.

The contract signing held at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong saw John Lloyd returning to his roots alongside GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon and fellow-former Kapamilya Johnny Manahan.

“We are very happy that he chose to partner with GMA for his TV comeback. I am sure that all of our Kapuso viewers and your fans are excited to watch and support you as you begin a new chapter in your life,” Gozon said to John Lloyd and the members of the press.

“All good things come to those who wait. So ito na finally, we’re grateful for the trust you put in us and we will do our best na hindi ka mabigo sa pagpunta mo sa GMA.”

“You’re undeniably one of the most talented artists in the Philippines. We hope that this partnership will last for a long, long time and is just the beginning of more projects to come.”

John Lloyd departed from ABS-CBN in 2017, citing an indefinite absence. He’s since been keeping lowkey with indie projects all while co-parenting his son, Elias, with Ellen Adarna.

He is now represented by Crown Artist Management, the talent agency introduced by Maja Salvador and longtime partner Rambo Nuñez.

Congratulations, JLC!
