Josh is the second SB19 member to grace the GRAMMY’s Global Spin Series as a solo artist
Whether as a group or in the members’ solo era, SB19 knows how to make a statement through performances. This time around, Josh Cullen debuts his single, “Yoko Na,” on the GRAMMY’s Global Spin Series. Described by the Recording Academy as a “P-Pop Powerhouse,” the all-rounder sang live with a band accompaniment.

The song, released last March, was a collaboration between Cullen and rapper Al James. “Yoko Na” has an upbeat flow with lyrics on bidding farewell to a relationship going south. Josh took charge with this release, from the track to the music video. He wrote and produced the song, as well as directed the music video, proving his creativity on and off the stage.
Cullen is the second SB19 member to perform on the Global Spin series. In July 2022, Felip was the first SB19 member to grace the GRAMMY segment with his performance of “Bulan.”
SB19’s Grammy debuts follows another Filipino artist, James Reid, who was also featured in another series called Press Play at Home. Reid gave a live performance of his single, “Cali Lovin’,” a track that featured his trademark sound—a fusion pop and R&B.
Since SB19’s debut in 2018, the five members—Pablo, Josh, Stell, Justin, and Felip have ventured into their solo releases while working on their group comebacks. Earlier this month, Felip released his solo album called 7sins. Meanwhile, Stell is bound to debut his EP this coming August.
