These reel and real partners walked the black carpet side-by-side, highlighting the dual tone code of the Vogue Philippines Anniversary Gala
Playing with a two-toned dress code such as black and white is much more fun when you have a partner to do it with. There’s a choice to go for the same shade or do some stark side-by-side with your outfits. And at the recently concluded event by Vogue Philippines, these Kapuso love teams filled the occasion with their refreshed chemistry coded in black and white.
MEGA Entertainment rounds up five pairings whose individual and dual looks prove that two is truly better than one, in life and in style. With that, here are some of our favorites:
Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos
Lately, the couple has been doing their own thing with Khalil starring in the Tick, Tick… Boom musical and Gabbi with Unbreak my Heart. Proving that growing on your own is as essential as growing together, they shared a black color scheme with their outfits.
Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix
The Voltes V: Legacy stars checked not only the color palette scheme, but also the rewear and refresh theme for the night. While the actor was clad in a black and white suit, the actress-slash-law student and her team reworked her supposed GMA Gala outfit and finally brought it into the spotlight for Vogue Philippines.
Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid
Don’t let their contrasting ensembles fool you. Looking closely at the silhouettes of the two, Bianca and Ruru shared the v-cuts and curved lining of their outfits. Besides color, structure is the way to go to coordinate your style with your other half.
Rabiya Mateo and Jeric Gonzales
Another couple who made a joint appearance at the gala was Rabiya and Jeric, whose second chance at romance only made them better for each other. While the actress-beauty queen looked equal parts sultry and angelic with her white number, the reality star winner was clad in a dark dapper ensemble.
Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi
Conquering both fashion and entertainment in their careers, Kyline and Mavy are the new it-couple of this generation. Kyline bended the rules by lacing her all black Coperni frock with some gold accents. Meanwhile, Mavy added a cool twist to his Good American suit with some Gentle Monster frames, giving a cool youthful vibe to his outfit.
