As she navigates life on and off camera, the star celebrates her 28th birthday with a private birthday bash in Palawan in a custom Mark Bumgarner birthday suit that shows off effortless sophistication—just right for someone like Kathryn.

For her 28th, Kathryn celebrated her birthday in style on a yacht and on the shores of El Nido, Palawan, alongside her family and friends. In a custom Mark Bumgarner birthday suit, Kathryn blew out her birthday candles and enjoyed the fireworks display afterwards.
On sunny days, the dress is just the ticket to an elegant and chic summer ensemble befitting of a birthday girl. The fabric gave the dress a more carefree feel, but the fitted silhouette of the layered skirt, showing off her figure, the one-shoulder strap, and the falling sleeve made the look effortlessly sexy. The white is also a blank canvas for the intricate details sewn onto the skirt such as the seashells and the pearls.
Mark tells MEGA that the dress was actually a birthday gift; the original design was deemed ‘too glam’ as per Kathryn’s stylists Kim and Boop Yap. “Kathryn said she wanted white and a micro mini-dress so she can move comfortably,” the designer shares. “So I made the dress without sending the sketch because I already had a design in mind: an asymmetric micro mini-dress with draped detail on the bottom encrusted with shells and pearls, and an off-shoulder drape to finish the look. It was perfect for an island birthday celebration.”
Mark has been one of Kathryn’s go-to designers and dear friend. One of their most notable collaborations was Kathryn’s sultry silver side-cut gown at last year’s ABS-CBN Ball. In his birthday post, Mark tells the star, “I just wanted to wish you the happiest of birthdays ever! Thanks for being such an awesome friend and muse. Love love love you!”
