After overcoming her own personal battles, Keri Zamora is using her platform to help the needs of women and their children.

An epitome of a resilient woman, Keri Zamora uses her platform to live her life with meaning and purpose. Aside from her impeccable fashion choices, which includes a penchant for Filipino designers, it’s her “Caring Keri Program” that makes her a woman to look up to. “For me, being powerful and beautiful is being able to influence other people to be better,” Keri says and that is what she exactly does. As the wife to San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, she founded the program to give back after having gone through her own journey with breast cancer.
It focuses on assisting women and the children of their community regarding health and protection of their rights. Since its conception in 2019, the program has already successfully given free medical screenings such as pap smears and mammograms and ultrasounds, mental health programs and medical procedures. She even had her whole family be involved in the program’s pandemic-related efforts by helping pack and send meals to the San Juan Medical Center, and send PPEs to breast cancer patients undergoing treatment.
“Women nowadays are more driven and more opinionated. We’re taking more roles in society, and we just have to continue being fearless,” Keri shares, proving that a woman can still carry herself with elegance and grace while making her voice heard. Case in point: one would expect that as the First Lady, she would come with an intimidating demeanor, but Keri is the exact opposite. She arrived early on the day of the photo shoot, already looking gorgeous, but with a calm and loving demeanor when she spoke to the whole team. “I always believed that if you look good and feel good, you are able to do more,” she shares with MEGA when asked about role of beauty in leadership. And despite having gone through her own personal battles, she stands today as a woman who’s even more fearless and passionate to serve others in every way she can.
This power woman list co-presented by Pantene will also appear on MEGA’s April 2022 issue. Stay tuned!
