Good things will come in pairs this 2024 with tandems dominating our screens for their upcoming projects
At their Christmas Special this year, viewers of the Kapamilya network had the first glimpse of the upcoming offers of ABS-CBN this 2024. From being one of the biggest networks of the country, they are now called ABS-CBN Studios, providing top notch content for various platforms in the local and global scene. In this new era, pairings will be leading the exciting turn of shows and series by the content provider. With that, MEGA Entertainment rounds up the names who will work together in giving us the stories we can’t wait to see.

Joshua Garcia and Anne Curtis
An unexpected pairing that we all did not see coming, these actors will take on the characters of Moon Gang-tae and Ko Moon-young in the Filipino adaptation of It’s Okay Not To Be Okay. Joining them to complete the original trio is Carlo Aquino who will be playing the role of Joshua’s brother. Previously testing the waters of acting alongside veteran actresses like Jodi Sta. Maria, how will Joshua approach this new pairing this time around? Meanwhile, how different will Anne approach her character after almost a decade since her last primetime show?
Jane De Leon and Janella Salvador
Because of the audience’s reception to their roles as Valentina and Darna, respectively, Jane and Janella once turned the narrative of a project due to their impact. Last month, the two happily announced that they will be reuniting for a film called How To Be A Good Wife, directed by Jun Robles-Lana. The title alone excited Darlentina and Janenella fans, and just like them, we can’t wait for the possible twists and turns of the story. With both actresses expressing their willingness to work in a GL series from previous interviews, will this finally be the trajectory of this next project for Jane and Janella?
Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino
The pairing of Kim and Paulo is a full circle moment for the latter who has always wished to work with the actress since his transfer to ABS-CBN. While Linlang gave us a darker version of their relationship, their Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim is definitely a lighter material with more kilig scenes for all of us to swoon over. For KimPau fans, Paulo seems to be Mr. Right for Kim on screen, and we completely understand why.
Kyle Echarri and Andrea Brillantes
From their childhood beginnings to their teenage years, Andrea and Kyle share a special bond of friends who have known each for so long. During the Christmas special, their pairing was officially launched as a love team when they graced the stage alongside their fellow love teams like FranSeth and DonBelle. While a confirmation of their real score or their next project is yet to happen, we can witness chemistry of the two on Senior High for now.
Daniel Padilla and Zanjoe Marudo
Daniel and Zanjoe will finally reunite this 2024 with Ricky Lee’s Nang Mapagod Si Kamatayan, directed by Dan Villegas. Last 2017, the friends worked together in the KathNiel moving Can’t Help Falling in Love, where Zanjoe portrayed a participating role as one of Daniel’s friends. Truly in his solo era as well, this will be Padilla’s first project alone since the split.
