Always doing things for a greater cause, the actress-slash-beauty queen chose a meaningful way to commence her birthday bash this year
For a true queen, advocacy is a life-long commitment. The title and recognition go beyond the crown and glamour, and to reign means finding ways to reach communities and use your privilege to provide more access and opportunities for those who can’t. And if we are talking about a queen who knows this assignment well, it is Kylie Verzosa.
To kick off her birthday bash this year, Kylie celebrated with the kids of the Red Cross Manila Chapter Learning Foundation Center. Together with her Mental Health Matters PH team, the queen gave away self-care kits from KonsultaMD, as well as books and teddy bears for the children.
In an Instagram post, Kylie wrote, “Trying to balance everything in my life can be quite overwhelming and difficult at times, but I’m so grateful to have people in my life and a team to help support.”
The Philippine Red Cross also uploaded a teaser last January 31 for a coming collaboration with the beauty queen.

The Miss International 2016 has always been an advocate for health and wellness, putting mental health at the forefront in her advocacy. During her reign, Kylie paid a visit to the Mental Health Institute of Singapore to learn about the institution’s different services for individuals of all ages, including the families and friends of the patients.
In 2017, Kylie founded Mental Health Matters PH, a mental health organization that strengthens the conversation on the said issue online. Together with KonsultaMD, they provide a free mental health consultation in the telehealth service.
