Like an individual’s personal palate for gastronomy, every guest in attendance of the MEGA Ball 2024 interpreted the theme “Fashion + Food” anchored to their personal taste. The event is an exhibition of range when it comes to serving sartorial language—from elegant numbers to exquisite ensembles. Among the 200 guests of the occasion, three actresses donned Filipino-designed creations that also carry MEGA’s vision of celebrating Independence Day—with elaborate expressions of Filipino pride.

Gabbi Garcia
If a chef has their own signature dish, then Gabbi Garcia has cooked her signature style by opting for design elements that give a look more character. At the MEGA Ball 2024, her modern take breathed new life to a Rajo Laurel archival piece from 2015. The frock emphasized her figure through its geometric lines, while the fringed details gave it dynamic movement. As for her jewelry, she opted for a gold and diamond-adorned Tiffany & Co. lock set.
One to always show off her skin tone, the morena beauty enhanced her natural features by going for a brass-like smokey eye finish, a muted nude lip, and a light pop of blush.

The 21-year-old is not the type to shy away from a risky number, and this is very evident with her recent fashion shift. The actress embraced her new era by arriving hand-in-hand with Filipino designer Chris Nick who created her look for the event. She entered Shangri-La The Fort in a coordinated set comprised of a cropped blazer, bandeau, and a low-rise skirt that showed off her figure. To match the edginess of her look, Kyline paired it with a Tiffany & Co. choker.
Apart from her ensemble, her hair and makeup was also a nod to timeless trends of the early 2000s, evident in her textured bun with spiky ends and face-framing tendrils. Her makeup also referenced the smokey eye and pop of rouge on cheeks–two beauty trend that make their comeback every now and then.
Bianca Umali
The Kapuso star knows her way around fashion the way chefs know their way around the kitchen. Give her the basics, and she and her team can curate an outfit that thrives in texture, layering, and accent.
Her MEGA Ball 2024 ensemble is no exception for her penchant of elevating the shade of black. Wearing a textured Roel Rosal number, Bianca made a statement with subtle yet striking accents—a bow for the bust, a cutout on her torso, and an A-line silhouette for her skirt, which had pockets as well. The actress is also never fully dressed without highlighting her golden bronze skin. As for her mane, she kept it sleek with a strike of flair with a clean, braided bun.
