When people have an obsession over makeup or any other beauty product, it inadvertently becomes an instrument to make them feel good in spite of the challenges that they are going through. In this situation of the beauty industry, French makeup artist, Laura Mercier shares how the general idea of beauty can heighten the spirit of confidence of everyone. “In my opinion, from the initial act of feeling good about yourself, there is a very profound psychological aspect to beauty in general and to makeup in particular because this is something you can bring to yourself,” says Laura Mercier. Once you pay more attention to things that bring your best self, it will absolutely go beyond feeling beautiful on the outside. This resonates to having full energy and concentration to other activities lined up in your to-dos.
Laura Mercier intends to emphasize on the individuality to completely define beauty, and personally, she doesn’t want to change the morphology and standardize the idea of seeing ourselves in others. While there’s nothing wrong with being inspired with a trend or imitating styles, we have to take note that at the end of the day, we have our differences and we need to seek our own unique self.
With the launch of the newest Translucent Loose Setting Powder in the shade Honey, Laura Mercier is revisiting the basics—having a flawless skin to work on, since this is the main support that you’ll need afterwards. With flawless skin, Laura means targeting areas on the face that are needed to be either highlighted or camouflaged. As the leading product of its kind with the stamp of approval of professional makeup artists, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder introduces its newest shade, Honey which has peachy-yellow tones adds warmth to medium skin complexion. In fact, this product is sold every 20 seconds in the US.
Keeping the makeup in place, the new TLSP Honey is very suitable for humid weather and gives a 16-hour matte finish with its no-flashback formula. Given our current setup where we’re either working at home or outside covered with face mask, this lets you blur out visible blemishes with just light foundation and TSLP. “A little bit of seduction on hand and when times are difficult, it’s the perfect boost,” says Laura.
Creating softer lines and more subdued imperfections, Laura Mercier Creative Director Jason Hoffman demonstrates the use of the newest addition to the famed line. “To ensure that it wouldn’t get too cakey, test the product first with your hand and if it looks like everything is falling off from your hand, there might be a little too much,” shares Jason. Folding the puffs correctly and getting the right amount are requisites to flawless finish. When you apply it on your face and it mattifies immediately, it means you have the right dose and it won’t fly off,” adds Laura.
Beauty has definitely no criteria. Nonetheless, Laura Mercier instills this seamless and simple gesture helps you pleasantly present yourself.
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder in Honey is already available at Rustan’s Beauty Source and Laura Mercier counters for P2,150.
