Inspired by the contrasts of life, ARAO’s Paradox is the perfect addition to every woman’s jewelry collection.
A Hong Kong-based fine jewelry brand, ARAO transcends the idea of “Your Grandmother’s Pearls.” With South Sea Pearls as its centerpiece, ARAO jewelry are modern classics—understated yet sophisticated and stylish.
Every piece is designed to highlight the natural beauty of Golden South Sea Pearls, as well as drawing from different aspects—travel, wellness, art, beauty, and design. ARAO gives you versatile, luxurious, and high-quality pieces that will surely last. And yes, they’re not your grandmother’s pearls, but they might as well be an heirloom classic.
Founded by Mirabel Rosar in 2020, ARAO’s Spring Summer 2021 collection is one that celebrates life’s different stages and contrasts. Aptly named Paradox, the collection is inspired by black and white, raw and polished, smooth and rough, and water and earth. Bringing together polar opposites, the collection showcases modern classic made of South Sea pearls for the ocean, and combining that with precious metal gems from earth.
The collection consists of three paradoxes—raw and polished, forged and borne, and movement and stillness. The first paradox raw and polished, combines pearls with fine stones such as diamonds, emeralds, and citrine, which are cut and polished by hand. Inspired by fire and water, the second paradox forged and borne combines pearls and gold. Movement and stillness, the last paradox, showcases the combination of champagne baroque pearls and diamonds.
ARAO also launches The Pearl Lab, where customers can customise pieces that better suit their style. You can choose the type of jewelry, pearl, and gemstone you want for your piece. With The Pearl Lab, you can also customise pieces from Paradox 1 Raw and Polished. With this, you can choose your preferred type of South Sea Pearl, and add your birthstone to make it more you.
ARAO also stands for sustainability, assuring its customers that all pearls are ethically sourced from a sustainable pearl farm in Palawan, Philippines. As well as only using organic materials, ARAO also commits a portion of their sales to The Philippine Foundation. Mirabel Rosar shares, “I love the outdoors. I surf with my husband and I also hike. Love for water and earth explains why my commitment towards sustainability runs deep.”
