FIFA World Cup champ Lionel Messi takes the lead in Louis Vuitton’s latest collection
Following the success of last year’s collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Louis Vuitton unveiled their newest campaign—this time, featuring the 2022 FIFA World Cup champion. Titled “Horizons Never End,” this collection is all about celebrating the spirit of travel and paying homage to the iconic Horizon collection.

Photographed by Glen Luchford, the football superstar looked dapper in a black suit, a classic crewneck, and leather ankle boots, with his legs atop a monogrammed LV Horizon suitcase with a matching duffle and a soccer ball by his side. When asked about the campaign, Messi shared, “For me, the horizon is looking to the future, letting my imagination carry me, and thinking about what could happen, what the future holds—all its possibilities.”
In a series of videos also directed by Luchford, Messi appeared suave and sophisticated with his Louis Vuitton suitcase, proving that it is the ultimate travel companion for any modern man. These suitcases, made of molded mesh composite with a monochromatic canvas and finished with genuine leather, were first launched in 2016.
Last year, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo caught the world’s attention for their Louis Vuitton campaign. The internationally renowned football players posed as if they were playing chess, inspired by a match that ended in a draw. The campaign was a major success and remains the fourth most-liked photo on Instagram.
