Louis Vuitton Men’s S/S 25: A Call for Global Collaboration by Pharrell Williams

Louis Vuitton Men’s S/S 25: A Call for Global Collaboration by Pharrell Williams

Pharrell Williams pilots his fourth Spring/Summer 2025 collection within UNESCO’s Paris headquarters as he celebrates the human experience, cultural influences, and the art of travel with the Maison

At the heart of it all is a global rotunda. A giant structure at the center of the runway acts as familiar ground, symbolizing the universal theme of Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2025—“Le Monde Est à Vous” (The World is Yours).  Within UNESCO’s Paris Headquarters, the show becomes a cultural exposition, one that becomes a staple for creative director Pharrell Williams. He has once again wavered a collection that is further than mere fabric and threads by incorporating the global community, cultural influences, and the art of travel into a sartorial event.

Brushing the clouds above the roof of the building, live music—a signature of Pharrell’s shows—features the Voices of Fire choir and L’Orchestre du Pont Neuf. They set an invisible, floating tone that accentuates the show’s theme. As the choir’s voices soar, we are made aware of the literal harmonic blend of cultures and the figurative, ubiquitous human experience.

Traveling Through Color

Leading the collection, black commands with shimmering lapels on blazer suits and collars embossed with the iconic LV monogram. This is high fashion with a hint of underground rave culture, now elevated to a rooftop choir performance. Red-tinted transparency accents through accessories like briefcases, trunks, and jackets. Surprise statements make their appearance: a teeny-tiny golden sack and a football-shaped bag paired with an embellished polo and shorts, scoring a goal to stand out in sportscore.

As the collection transitions to a rich brown palette, travel elements come into play. Think handkerchiefs, sunglasses, and crocodile-finished bomber jackets, all reminiscent of an adventurous spirit with the likes of Amelia Earhart. The looks shift to sophisticated grays, featuring non-collar round jackets and pajama-like sets, evoking a sense of comfort after a long day’s trip. Traveling through dreams, if you will.

Beige joins the United Nations with large tote bags prominently displaying the LV logo, flared trousers, football jerseys, and sleeveless shirts paired with multicolored bags—a nod to Louis Vuitton’s storied wardrobe. Each piece feels like a passport stamp on a worldwide expedition.

Earthly Tributes

In a literal homage to our planet, Earth turns into garments—from Oxford shirts to bomber jackets and pixelated hoodies. These looks ring true against the UNESCO setting, as the choir proclaims, “Every time we push you down, fall back up.” It’s a moving statement of persistence and the value of environmental responsibility, closing the show with a celebratory dance that honors our shared home.

Pharrell Williams and Louis Vuitton demonstrate that fashion is about making intentional decisions. Sustainability and cultural interchange are not simple topics. But with them as the fundamental subjects of this collection, Louis Vuitton pushes us to consider our influence on the global community and the beauty of accepting various perspectives—as stylish as it is meaningful.
