A paragon of luxury and heritage, Louis Vuitton took everyone (your favorite celebs included), back in time with arcade games, sparkling bubbly, songs to shimmy to and of course, its men’s fall/winter ’18 pre collection, too.

Passing by the usually quiet luxury lane at Greenbelt 4, you wouldn’t notice something amiss. Customers and transient shoppers still shuffled back and forth, popping in and out stores hauling their latest wares on an arm each. However, turning the corner of the Louis Vuitton store would reveal a different thing—people filling the space at an almost exponential rate, music to dance to pulsating from the secured walls, and even a spilling of chatter and spirits every time the door was ajar. Clearly, there was a party and it was by all means a hip and happening one.

Entering the store was a different story altogether. Your eyes immediately gravitated to the floor and walls dressed up in a special edition drawn on and neon monogram respectively. Looking around, there were neon-lot signs that spelled out “Louis Vuitton Forever”. It wasn’t missed, at least to the geeks in the room that it called to mind the familiar opening crawl of the Star Wars series, which coincidentally what the rest of the world was celebrating on May the fourth.

Filling up this little cove of the store was the star of the night, Louis Vuitton’s men’s fall/winter ’18 pre-collection. An assemblage of statement shirts, nylon track suits, matching decorated denim, patched on classic button-downs and of course, drool-worthy leather goods in the transition season’s somber palette. The selection of updated must-haves was an impressive lead-on to the swan song collection of Kim Jones in the season to come. Also, tucked in the corner of the room, playing guard to all that was going down was Vivienne, the new and not to mention very, very cute mascot of Louis Vuitton.

Navigating the store was a treat as all floors were decked with activities to keep everyone engaged. With the main floor playing host to the highlighted collection, as well as a non-stop of buying transactions, the basement was brimming with laughs and chatter as mini bottles of Moet and servings of popcorn were being served. Guests were treated to an interactive gif wall and even a real-life Claw arcade game where prizes awaited everyone. The soundtrack blaring through came from the top level where more guests mingled and hung out by the mini bar set up.

The night wouldn’t be complete without a descending of stars as personalities and celebrities flocked to the store to celebrate Louis Vuitton Forever. Glittering the night were James Reid and Nadine Lustre, Alden Richards, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Mega Online cover girl Camille Co with Mega Man Online cover star Joni Koro, Megastyle cover girls Vern and Verniece Enciso, Sofia Andres, Gabbi Garcia and Mari Jasmine.

Despite it being a brand hinged on luxury and heritage, the night’s festivities was a clear indication that Louis Vuitton has successfully claimed a firm grasp on the generation today. Providing a careful balance of throwback and retro-nostalgic sensibilities with the trimmings of the Millennial era, it was most definitely a night to remember for well, forever.
