After a series of international film festival hits, Lovi Poe is now set to star in a Hollywood film titled The Chelsea Cowboy opposite Alex Pettyfer and Cara Delevigne’s sister, Poppy Delevigne.

Per Deadline, the Ben Cookson-directed movie will follow the life of 1960s actor and gangster John Bindon (portrayed by Pettyfer). Lovi landed the role of British singer Dana Gillespie, who reportedly had a number of famous lovers in the 90s – from David Bowie to Sean Connery.

The film is also described as one that: “Charts the rise and fall of underworld hard-man turned actor Bindon, who despite a successful acting career and passionate romantic liaisons with members of high society, was unable to leave his criminal past behind.”

“The team and I are delighted to have Lovi onboard and can’t wait to see her portrayal of Dana Gillespie – a sixties icon and charismatic singer and actor, whose own life would indeed make an amazing biopic,” shared Cookson, who also helmed the film Waiting For Anya and Almost Married.

Hollywood actor Idris Elba is also one of the movie’s executive producers.

Congratulations, Lovi!
