Maricel Soriano is the focal point of one of the most iconic film moments of the ‘90s. Although she entered the industry when she was six, she only got her breakthrough work as a dramatic actress after 10 years. Proclaimed as the Philippines’ Diamond Star, Soriano takes pride in her notable movies titled Ikaw Pa Lang ang Minahal, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, Dahas, and so much more. With her success noted in history, it is no surprise to see movies in the 2000s recreating her characters and iconic lines.

In 2012, she took time off from the limelight and returned after two years as a guest star in some television shows. And now that she ventured into creating content on social media, she also shared her excitement to be back in television as she gears up for a new television series produced by Dreamscape PH.

The multi-awarded actress’ heart is screaming with excitement because it has been a while since her last major role. She even exclaimed that she was more than ready to see herself in action.

As this marks her big comeback in show business, the Diamond Star also opened up about the possibility of losing relevance in the industry. In Maricel Soriano’s 51 years in showbiz, she said that she is not afraid of losing the spotlight because she learned that an actor should know and value their fame while preparing themselves for the future. Knowing that all things have their end, she is ready to let go of her spot for other aspiring actors to take when that time comes for her.
