A yummy gesture of appreciation
Through the McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen, the ever-exciting McDonalds BTS Meal was distributed in select hospitals and vaccination centers just days before its official launch in the country on June 18, 2021. The Kindness Kitchen reportedly served a grand total of 2,000 meals to various frontline workers, medical personnel, and volunteers, who were able to enjoy the much-anticipated McDo offering with every bite.
One beneficiary from the Air Force General Hospital even added how McDonald’s and RMHC were able to support the medical facility’s frontliners in the midst of the global crisis, sharing that: “Tuwang-tuwa po kami kasi hindi po nakakalimot ang McDo [Kindness Kitchen]. Ever since last year until this year, walang sawa sila sa pag consider sa amin [sa meal distribution]. Very privileged kami [ang] nauna sa BTS meal.”
Serving soon
McDonald’s purple-plastered BTS Meal came packed with a 10-piece serving of Chicken McNuggets®, a medium-sized World Famous Fries®, a medium-sized Coca-Cola, as well as two exciting sauce flavors inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea in the Sweet Chili and Cajun sauces. The mouthwatering McDo treat will be made available to the general public on June 18, 2021 across all McDonald’s stores nationwide.
“We hope that this simple surprise for our dear frontliners will warm their hearts and remind them that McDonald’s is always here to support them as they brave the pandemic,” Yang concluded.
One can only hope that McDonald’s latest gesture of appreciation towards the medical frontline workers who have sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears in serving the nation despite the perils of the pandemic will usher a continuous wave of gestures from all those who have the heart to help.
