After announcing the first members of its editorial team, namely Fashion Director Pam Quiñones, Digital Editor Trina Epilepsia-Boutain, and Publisher Rhoda Campos-Aldanese, all led by Bea Valdes as Editor-in-Chief last week, Vogue Philippines has rounded up another set of distinguished editors to be part of their growing family.

“We recently unveiled the first appointments of Vogue Philippines’ team, and now we’re thrilled to announce more names which include veteran and trusted editors with decades of experience in the publishing industry,” says Archie Carrasco, Chairman and CEO, MGLI.

To further solidify their team, the local edition of the influential magazine names Daryl Chang as its fashion editor and Joyce Oreña as beauty editor. Audrey Carpio will also be the features editor and Jacs Sampayan has been appointed as managing editor.

“We wanted to include talents that are both seasoned and emerging to complete the Vogue Philippines editorial team, so that expertise is passed on and sustained,” adds Suki Salvador, President, MGLI. “Today, we enlisted four seasoned talents to form a stellar set of Vogue Philippines editors which now includes Daryl Chang, Joyce Oreña, Audrey Carpio, and Jacs Sampayan. I’m delighted to be working with the finest in the country.”

Vogue Philippines is set to launch its print, digital, and social media platforms in September 2022 under Mega Global Licensing, Inc. (MGLI) but until then, get to know the senior editors who are bringing the Filipino voice to a global scale.

Daryl Chang

Daryl Chang is certainly no stranger to the local fashion industry. She has 10 years of experience as a fashion editor and fashion director under her belt. “Vogue’s compelling imagery and intelligent storytelling have always been my benchmark of fashion and I am thrilled to take on the role as Vogue Philippines’ fashion editor,” says Chang. She will be working closely with Pam Quiñones to champion the Filipino voice, taste, and style. “The opportunity to shape the way the world sees Filipino fashion and culture by shining a light on our incredible craftsmanship and creativity is an honor.”

Joyce Oreña

You might know her as one of the top Filipina fashion models in the 90s or as an acclaimed jewelry designer, but Joyce Oreña has taken up many roles in both the fashion and beauty industries that has accumulated to three decades worth of experience. Ready to expand her influence even further, she says working for Vogue Philippines as its first beauty editor is a dream come true. She aims to be a passionate storyteller on a mission to elevate the Philippines on a global level.

Audrey Carpio

Audrey Carpio is a sought-after writer and editor who has been regularly contributing to some of the most established and widely read titles in Metro Manila. Chances are you’ve probably read her compelling stories online, but apart from her extensive writing portfolio, she also drafts and edits speeches and articles for the Department of Tourism.

Jacs Sampayan

A passionate storyteller, Jacs Sampayan will be playing a major role in Vogue Philippines’ vision and direction. “I am honored to be part of this pioneering team,” he shares. With 20 years of experience in writing and leading different teams, he says that Vogue Philippines will create a rapport with their audience that goes beyond fashion. “Vogue has been the Holy Grail for Philippine publishing for a long time. To finally have our own is a symbol of hope and better days, and that optimism will carry beyond the fashion industry,” he says.
