Kathryn Bernardo
In the turquoise sea of Palawan, Kathryn Bernardo positions herself as a statuesque symbol of self-love for the April 2024 issue. She wore a textured Herwin Cardoza piece, ushering a fashion statement that boho is back with a breath of elegance. Described as one of the most daring covers of the actress, the direction of the shoot was a visual iteration of the new chapter in Kathryn’s life as she dares to go for darker roles, sultrier sartorial pieces, and unexplored looks.
The April 2024 cover was photographed by Charisma Lico, and the cover story featured creations from Filipino designers Bonita Penaranda, Neric Beltran, Cherry Veric, Rob Ortega, and Rey Calajate.
Michelle Dee and Anntonia Porsild
Michelle Marquez Dee and Anntonia Porsild were a gilded presence as a pairing for the March 2024 cover, an issue dedicated to the Power Female. In the Miss Universe 2023 competition, the two were individual forces ready to win the crown. Amidst their vying for the title, they built a solid friendship that eventually had pageant fans fondly calling them PorDee. Representing their common thread of hailing from countries with an utmost fever for pageantry, Michelle and Anntonia made a powerful statement through the cover that there is strength in women’s solidarity and advocacy.
Dee and Porsild wore beaded and geometric swimsuits by Glademir Echavarre, and shot by Dookie Ducay. The cover story showcased the summer pieces of Saysa by Samantha Martin, Job Dacon, Jojo Bragais, Ronald Mabanag, Carl Arcusa, Kataw, Fatima Beltran, Leo Almodal, Jaz Cerezo, and Russell Villafuerte.
SB19
Last June 2024, SB19 made a historical move as the first P-Pop group and male figures to ever grace the cover of MEGA’s Pinoy Pride issue. Apart from the stage performances of the quintet, their individual and collective styles as a group also play an integral role in fashioning their mark in the entertainment industry—a part of their authority that MEGA underscored in the direction of the shoot.
Dressed in Thome Brown, the quintet hung their trademark stage outfits and went for a more dapper academia style for the cover courtesy of Rain Dagala and Em Millan of Team RainxEm. Captured by Doc Marlon, Pablo, Stell, Josh, Justin, and Ken married Filipino and international designers and brands in the rest of the feature, donning pieces by Neric Beltran, Martin Uy, Kenzo, Joey Samson, Fendi, as well as Bode from Univers.
