The WAGs (wives and girlfriends) of professional sportsmen do so much more than stand on the sidelines. Here, MEGA decodes their hottest on-field fashion
This year, we saw the WAG renaissance. As the sports season runs all-year around in different fields, these women continue to captivate during the games, from the WAGs in the F1 paddocks that cheer for their race-car-driving partners to the WAGs of the current history-making Olympians who are trailblazing the path of sideline fashion and spectator styles. For their role as the ultimate supporter, fans adore the sartorial way they go about it, and here are some of their hottest on-field fashion.

Taylor Swift
Perhaps the most iconic WAG of the NFL today is global star Taylor Swift. Her whirlwind romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce fueled the fire of the WAG aesthetic. Aside from sporting a custom jersey jacket (It’s a cardinal rule to wear your partner’s jersey), she’s often seen opting for a sportswear jacket paired with a simple base—in the team’s colors naturally—and sneakers or a heeled boot. For her beauty look, she goes for her signature bold red lip.
The musician also uses accessories to pay tribute to her Superbowl boyfriend, including a jeweled No. 87 necklace for Travis Kelce’s jersey number and a custom #87 Judith Leiber bejeweled bag. Her black heeled boots were also emblazoned with a red-and-gold 87.
One thing is for sure: She keeps to the Chiefs’ color red. Coincidentally, her fourth studio album in 2012 was titled after the color as well—so it’s no surprise that she knows how to rock on-field #87 fashion.
Kelly Piquet
Known as the longtime girlfriend of Max Verstappen, driver for Red Bull’s F1 race team, Kelly Piquet certainly brings a level of old-money sophistication and quiet luxury to the paddock. During the Miami Grand Prix, she was decked in an all-white ensemble with a sleeve jacket stitched with gold embossed buttons, and wide-leg trousers with sharp front pleats that created an ultra polished silhouette.
She was also seen sporting a zipped Louis Vuitton dress detailed with contrasting yellow stitching, gold hardware, and the Maison’s signature leather travel tag that added dimension to the monochromatic look.
At the Monaco GP, she sported a striped knit crop top with a ribbed finish, and a graphic box pleat miniskirt; the golden emblem with anchor and chain.
Victoria Beckham
Back then, for fashion connoisseur Victoria Beckham, football stadiums were the backdrop to her looks. A then-professional WAG, Posh Spice’s style was a true pop culture time capsule: bug-eye sunglasses, strappy tops with low-cut necklines, Birkin bags, denim cut-offs, a splash of England merch, and the iconic hot pink statement.
Desiré Inglander
The City of Love is doing wonders for these pro athletes and their partners. While Desiré Inglander’s boyfriend Mondo Duplantis was busy setting the pole vault world record at the Olympics, the Swedish model was busy amping up the sidelines style with classic and bright fits. She opted for the Swedish team colors with this two-piece backless set of a vested suit and mini skirt, and accessorized with a cap. During Mondo’s finals, she paired a plain and simple Sweden shirt with denim and a Jacquemus bag.
Off-duty, when she’s not cheering her Olympian boyfriend on, she goes for sporty-chic and sophisticated silhouettes—like this long, pleated, flowing skirt. She also integrates Sweden’s yellow in a glittering mini-skirt and a sleeveless white top ensemble.
Alexandra Saint Mleux
Girlfriend of Monegasque Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, Alexandra Saint Mleux is turning heads with her innate elegance. How she redefines glamor in minimalist and all-around feminine outfits in Formula 1 makes her an undisputed style favorite. She adopts a simple and foolproof fashion formula that includes midi dresses, sunglasses, and high heels.
During the Monaco Grand Prix, she wore a pink tweed ensemble by Devon Windsor. She accessorized with a white Coperni mini bag, pointed slingback heels, and a pink heart necklace from APM Monaco.
At the Mexico GP, meanwhile, she sported a simple knit dress in cream; its flattering V neckline gracefully tracing the décolletage. She complimented it with a yellow Bottega Veneta bag and golden high-heeled sandals. With its breezy silhouette, the dress was a perfect choice for the weather in Mexico. Another fit was the black bodysuit with a sweetheart neckline from Wolford, combined with a high-waisted yellow flowing skirt and the same yellow Bottega Veneta bag.
Occasionally, she’ll leave behind the dresses and opt for a more casual style. Case in point was at the Miami Grand Prix, where she wore a denim number consisting of vest and jeans. Though this was a more relaxed look, it did not take away any of her elegance or allure.
