It is innately human to pass judgment on just about everything and anyone; especially in this day and age where wit, aesthetic and clout coalesce into an aspiration everyone aspires to. It isn’t so much as an I-am-better-than-you type of one-up, but rather, it is a failure to extend a chance for someone to prove themselves to you or some inane standard set by society.
Young actor and rising matinee idol Ruru Madrid is no stranger to being subjected to judgments, which is invariably part and parcel of the job he signed up for. Not that he is all too concerned about it, actually. In fact, he is too cool and chill to be bothered by whatever the public makes of him. He knows himself all month’s issue in a set of striking black and white too well, and this time, everyone else has to be imagery that even stretched to an experimental let in on it. This is precisely why he fronts this session of playing with double exposures.
How fitting, we thought. Here we think we know him well on the surface level, and then a split-second movement (an unravelling, if you will) eventually reveals something completely different.
