All eyes were on the contemporary menswear designs featured at the NYMD showrooms during the 2023 Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week. Here are some designers who stood out among the others
The New York Men’s Day, often known as NYMD, is a bi-annual event that happens during New York Fashion Week to conclude and celebrate emerging designers to make modern menswear more visible in the fashion scene. It is also an opportunity to reimagine and explore new concepts and definitions of menswear through striking colors and daring patterns. This NYFW Fall/Winter 2023, a spectacular exhibition of male fashion was witnessed from some of the industry’s sharpest and brightest designers.
Aaron Potts
Aaron Potts creates pieces with distinct graphic silhouettes mixed with a particular sense of comfort and airiness. The autumn collection was nearly totally black, with the exception of a few fiery red bursts scattered throughout. Potts’ philosophy as a designer is to always infuse his love for people, art, and connection, as well as to celebrate the creative community through his masterpieces.

Jimmy Alexander
Jimmy Alexander is the creator of the Los Angeles-based brand All Beneath Heaven, a gender-neutral line that made its fashion week debut at the NYFW F/W 2023. His collection featured handcrafted fashion pieces that are made of all-organic and bespoke materials. The line’s guiding principle is to be outspoken while constantly paying attention to what’s within, which explains the aesthetic that is very playful and poetic, matched with classic shapes and exaggerated features.

Beam Ratchapol Ngaongam debuted Bulan, a knitwear brand that screams big, vibrant, and unconventional forms. This is Beam’s first time to participate at the New York Men’s Day, and his collection that was reminiscent of Piet Mondrian paintings featured dramatic one-pieces and big sweaters with built-in scarves. The designer also casted all-Asian models for the runway.
