The 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet was a lesson in contemporary style, which is with men reinventing the new classic. The looks on display at television’s most prestigious award event were structured but fun, elegant yet nearly casual, and, of course, just right.

When it comes to nailing the new classic, Matt Bomer took the red carpet in a custom Brioni look. With a plum-toned shirt and jacket cinched perfectly with an attractive cummerbund, Bomer was the epitome of polished elegance.
Jonathan Bailey
Jonathan Bailey walked in looking like he rolled out of bed and right into one of the most effortlessly stylish looks of the night. His loosely buttoned silk shirt and black Giorgio Armani suit, complete with a cummerbund, screamed nonchalant sophistication.
Tyler James Williams
Sleeveless and sleek, Tyler James Williams brought some major edge to the carpet in Dolce & Gabbana. His dress shirt, adorned with a golden accent, wasn’t the only standout—he let his inked arms do a little talking too.
Bowen Yang
Leave it to Bowen Yang to make a statement in Bode, and what a statement it was. Decked out in a white suit layered over a red dickie, fringed and beaded by hand, Yang didn’t just walk the red carpet—he practically danced on it. The embellishments brought just the right amount of sparkle, showcasing that playful can also be seriously sophisticated.
Alan Cumming
Alan Cumming rocked a killer kilt look by Teddy Vonranson, going with tradition that can mean seriously cool. While others went for classic suits or contemporary styles, Cumming brought his heritage front and center with confidence.
Dan Levy
Dan Levy is no stranger to fashion risks, and his Loewe ensemble was a perfect example of playful refinement. A sharp black suit was paired with a white blouse featuring a sculptural neckline that made us do a double take. Dan knows how to mix structure with whimsy and wit.
