Whether she’s on or off the court, volleyball player Majoy Baron proves that a woman’s strength is what helps build her beauty

Nothing is stopping crowd-favorite volleybelle Majoy Baron from proving that her beauty isn’t just about how she looks, but also how she plays the game. A woman of influence, Majoy is already familiar with having people look up to her. Ever since she was a part of the award-winning DLSU Lady Spikers, even becoming the Most Valuable Player in the 79th season of the UAAP, she has already been inspiring her fellow females to strive for greatness. She believes that having this type of power is beautiful, especially since she encourages others to evolve and reach their own potential.
The beauty of power
As someone who continues to make a name for herself in Philippine volleyball, Majoy is fully aware of how other women are also kicking it up a notch. While acknowledging that there are still some challenges in trying to gain access to different opportunities, she strongly believes that women have evolved, increasing increasing their involvement in various key and formerly male-dominated sectors of society—sports being one of them. Despite being faced by constant trials and tribulations, Majoy says that women are now more free to pursue their preferred careers. Because of this, she believes that a lot more women will show their true power, and continue to rise and lead in different fields and industries in the future.
Self-care makes a true champion
And while playing her favorite sport makes her feel both powerful and beautiful at the same time, Majoy still makes sure to take a step back to recharge. Self-care is something she considers to be very important not just for her physical appearance, but also for her emotional and mental wellbeing. “If we look good and feel good, [our] beauty radiates, and people [can] see it,” she says. “Personally, when my hair is well- managed, it boosts my confidence.”
