The beauty industry has been faced with challenges that have shifted the power from big brands to a highly-inclusive, much-aware generation. It is no longer acceptable to cater to one, traditional kind of beauty. In the modern world, we reject being put in a box just so anyone can define us as beautiful. In the modern world, we define our own kind of beautiful.

MEGA Woman Takeover

With this in mind, our Power Females in Beauty—Dr. Catherine Anne Caoile and Dr. Marjorie Lalaine Salazar of Elyse Aesthetics, Arlene Damot of Royal Aesthetics, and Dr. Ruthlyn S. Pecolera-Salvosa of RPS Aesthetics—leaned on their years of experience, research, passion, and intelligence to shape innovations that are relatable and accessible to everyone. By promoting a more positive and inclusive space in the beauty industry, these strong, influential women are on their way to achieving their mission of making us all feel beautiful—no exceptions.

Dr. Catherine Anne Caoile

Dr. Catherine Anne Caoile believes in the transformative power of aesthetics in people’s lives. She says that seeing any journey that results in positive changes for people and those around them makes her feel grateful for her work as co-founder of Elyse Aesthetics.

During her general surgery residency at a public hospital, she crossed paths with Dr. Marjorie Lalaine Salazar, who was then an intern. In 2019, thanks to “destiny,” as Dr. Caoile would say, they launched Elyse Aesthetics.

A beautiful woman radiates from within. Someone who can express herself freely – her love, kindness and intelligence, making her an inspiration to the people around her.

Dr. Marjorie Lalaine Salazar

“I believe that cosmetic procedures serve as a vital self-care tool that allows individuals to replenish their sense of self-worth and reclaim their beauty from within,” Dr. Marjorie Lalaine Salazar, co-founder of Elyse Aesthetics, tells MEGA. She emphasizes that apart from making their patients feel beautiful, the core of their practice is “creating a safe space for women to explore and prioritize their beauty and well-being.” They also deeply collaborate with their patients to ensure “balance between enhancing natural beauty and honoring individuality.”

A beautiful woman is in alignment with her body, soul and mind. Aside from her external appearance, she is someone who’s not afraid to show what’s in her mind and heart.

Arlene Damot

Arlene Damot began her journey into the beauty industry when she pursued nursing, where she deeply understood the importance of hands-on patient care and healthcare systems. Eventually, she founded Royal Aesthetics “with the aim of providing personalized advanced aesthetic treatments in a welcoming and cost-effective environment.” Apart from taking care of her growing business, she’s also in her fourth year in medical school.

Founder of Royal Aesthetics

“For me, a beautiful woman is someone who exudes confidence and self-assurance. Being beautiful isn’t just about looks, but it’s also about how you act and treat others. She looks after herself in body and mind, and her inner beauty shows through being kind, smart, and caring.”

Dr. Ruthlyn Pecolera-Salvosa

Dr. Ruthlyn Pecolera-Salvosa calls RPS Aesthetics, the clinic she founded, her “second child.” It’s not only a business for her, but also a realization of her dream to make people feel confident about themselves. A mother, chief executive officer, and doctor, Dr. Pecolera-Salvosa knows how to do it all. She is also proud to say that her clinic takes care of its employees, most of whom are working moms like her.

For me a beautiful woman is someone who’s confident enough to face the world, not only because of her physical looks but also because she knows she can conquer anything.
