Maybe spring simply is Michael B. Jordan’s season. Last spring, he starred in the blockbuster hit ‘Black Panther’ and effectively portrayed Eric Killmonger. Now as another spring comes close, he has, yet again, landed a role no one ever saw coming. MBJ is Coach Men’s first global face.
Forget the days when celebrities just sat down on runway shows and pose for a few pictures. The brand finds the perfect face that embodies the personality of a Coach Man. According to the label’s creative director, Stuart Vevers, “Michael is cool and authentic, and he really embodies the Coach guy.” And we couldn’t agree more.
Coach’s S/S ’19 collection was first seen down the New York Fashion Week runway. A mixture of color blocks and patchworks established a post-apocalyptic era within the collection. This, hopefully, is what waits for us in 2019: MBJ showing us how to pull off pieces straight out of ‘Mad Max’. But for now, we have ‘Creed: II’ waiting for us before the year ends starring MBJ himself.
