The French luxury brand extends its legacy to the Philippines as it introduces Filipino cultural motifs with the unveiling of personalized art
French luxury brand Moreau Paris featured Filipino designs as it introduced its latest boutique at 8Rockwell, Makati. Established in 1882, the brand has a heritage rooted in exceptional craftsmanship, originally serving as the appointed supplier of leather goods to Emperor Napoleon I. Transitioning from cabinetmaking to trunk making, Moreau Paris has since excelled in creating bags and accessories, tailored to the refined preferences of global travelers.

Moreau Paris’ creations are distinguished by careful craftsmanship, hand-stitched details, hand-painted finishes, and the use of exotic materials, improving each piece to the pinnacle of absolute luxury.
The newly unveiled boutique depicts the brand’s storied legacy, where attendees Dr. Vicki Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho, Marian Rivera, Mond Guiterrez, and guests of honor Moreau Paris CEO Frank-Matthias Kuntermann and H&F Managing Director Jappy Gonzalez mingled at the launch.
Inspired by Moreau’s iconic trunks, the interior features sculpted panels, stone shelves, and bespoke furnishings. The wooden floors, embellished with a historical Moreau motif and delicate champagne anodized aluminum touches, impart a subtle yet luxurious atmosphere with historical charm to the space.
In honor of its Manila launch, Moreau Paris pays homage to Filipino culture with an exclusive design feature: the famous Jeepney. The Jeepney, revered as “the King of the Road”, is featured prominently in Moreau’s window displays and special collections.
From the classic St. Tropez totes to the Vincennes PM bags, each accessory features one-of-a-kind coated canvases and exquisitely printed leathers, as well as colorful Jeepney graphics that evoke the exuberant energy of Manila.
Moreau Paris’ arrival in Manila elevates the city’s luxury retail landscape as it also introduces a fresh fusion of French craftsmanship with Filipino cultural motifs. As the boutique becomes a destination for discerning shoppers and collectors alike, it signifies a new era of luxury with Filipino taste.
