This year is truly one for the books with all the changes coming everyone’s way. From career shifts, breakups and new loves, all the way to bigger and brighter opportunities, 2022 has been a big year! Those in the limelight, of course, are not exempted from the way life goes. Nadine Lustre, in fact, has embraced a lot of new things this year, including the trajectory of her career.

In her exclusive interview with MEGA Entertainment, the multihyphenate revealed that she is no longer working with her previous music label, Careless. The said agency was co-founded by Nadine’s previous reel-to-real partner, James Reid.

She explained, “We really talked it out. Their trajectory is different from mine. I’m the kind of person who wants na ’yong path ko, ’yon ang masusunod. Theirs is a bit of a different path. Feel ko hindi ko rin siya masusunod. Okay na rin ’yon, at least I have my own thing.”

During her five-year stay under Careless, Nadine released a number of tracks, including “St4y Up,” “No 32,” and “Wait For Me.” The label’s first artist collective album, Careless Mixtape, also featured Nadine’s solo and duo songs like “I Like It,” “Summer,” and “Nobody.”

In 2020, the actress gifted her fans her first full-length album called Wildest Dreams just in time for her 27th birthday. The 12-track album featured an array of nature sounds, acoustic ballads, and experimental tracks.

With Nadine stepping into a new path after Careless, there can only be hope that she goes back to her funky, pop side, just like her “Paligoy-ligoy” era!
