The star finally revealed her most sought-after beauty routine through a “get ready with me” video
It’s often believed that the beauty culture is defined by two archetypal content. Of course, there are the traditional makeup tutorials, and then there is the get ready with me videos. But what is it about getting ready that makes it so inviting? It inherently became the backstage of our lives—a comforting place to indulge into beauty products, express honest thoughts, and be one’s unfiltered self. A delve into the category unveils entries from celebrities and influential personalities. Case in point: Nadine Lustre.
In recent times, the star showcased her most sought-after makeup routine through an eight-minute “get ready with me” video. Here, we listed down all the standout details we’ve spotted, including her trusted products and beauty lessons she learned from makeup artist Jelly Eugenio.
Skin preparation
It’s an unspoken beauty code that skin preparation affects the outcome of the makeup. Nadine Lustre would agree. In fact, it’s the first step to her routine. Her key products? Bioten’s Skin Moisture Line. “It’s for people with dry and sensitive skin, which is the kind of skin that I have,” she expressed how grateful she is to find a formula that works well with her.
Soon after, the artist pumped the micellar water onto a cotton pad and lightly swiped it to her face. “I love the micellar water because it cleans your face without stripping off the natural moisture of your skin and for some reason, it doesn’t feel dry,” she shared. Nadine concluded her skin preparation with a dab of moisturizer.
Creating her everyday eye makeup
“I like to start with my eyes,” she stated. “I think I got used to it kasi si Jelly, when he does my makeup, lagi siyang nag-sastart sa eyes, so that’s what I’m gonna do now.” The artist began her eye makeup routine by applying her trusted concealer on her lids and proceeded to blending the product with the use of a brush. “It’s really important for you to apply sunscreen, especially nowadays,” she pointed out. “The sun is so harmful to the skin. Wear your sunscreen.”
Nadine did not miss out on exhibiting her eyeshadow palette that unveils her affinity for brown, peach, and rosy tones. After she set her lids with a powder, she dipped her brush to an almond-like shade and applied it to her crease and outer corner. The artist also pulled out her most trusted eyeliner, which appears to be the NARS High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner. “I like putting eyeliner on my lash line and a little eyeliner on the corner of my eyes just to emphasize it.” Shortly, she defined her eyes with the use of a liquid black eyeliner and mascara.
Her foundation-free base makeup
Nadine begins her base makeup by concealing her skin imperfections and her under eyes. “I like using concealer that’s a bit lighter to get rid of the bags,” she laughs. Next, the artist proceeded with contouring her temples, nose, and jawline with a flattering gold tone. Once it was set, she used a lighter powder for the middle of her face and a creamy blush on the top of her cheekbones, chin, and her nose. Nadine completed the step by highlighting the inner corner of her eyes, her brow bone, and her nose.
Her eyebrow routine
“I used to hate my eyebrows,” she confessed. “It’s like everywhere and it’s not thick in this area so I would always have it shaved or shaped.” Even so, the artist mastered how to do her eyebrows. Nadine begins her routine by extending the end of her brow tail with a trusted pen formula. Then, she fills the rest of the space by drawing hair-like strands for a more natural finish.
Achieving her signature lip look
It’s a given that a nude lip look is one of her beauty signatures. As luck would have it, the star shared the secret to achieving it. “I always use a brown lip liner to draw on my lips,” and Nadine reached out for an iteration of a Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Velvet Nude Lipstick that Jelly Eugenio gifted her.
