No matter what stage the publishing industry is in, the honor of being on a magazine cover will forever remain sacred. Generally, cover stars are depicted solitarily, which puts them right in the middle of the spotlight. That’s why the thought process that happens whenever we choose a new cover star is never taken for granted. The chosen star should be possess the following traits: relevance, allure, authenticity, and unparalleled talent.
For the year 2021, we were able to find all these traits and more in actress, artist, and singer, Nadine Lustre. Since her first cover in 2015, we’ve seen her evolve to become a fearless woman of the 21st century. As a result, she was able to bring more to the table when she shot with the MEGA Team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the February 2020 issue.
In the last #MakingMEGA episode, we saw behind the scenes footage of what went down in the Rio shoot with Nadine. We were able to witness her creative prowess and her willingness to produce art. Because of this she has been honored by the MEGA Fashion Awards, co-presented by RLC Residence, with the distinction of Cover of the Year.
