Every time you seek relaxation by dipping in the bathtub, stepping into a warm shower, or taking a trip to the spa, chances are you’ll be using up a lot of water. Nature has its ways of making us feel relaxed, and as the world’s biggest natural resource, water emanates a refreshing and tranquil feeling.
Humans have a natural affinity towards water. We seek it when we thirst, use it to cleanse ourselves, and find leisure in it through pools and beaches. But just as this single substance holds plenty of provisions for our lives, the world’s waters are also home to an abundance of lives that thrive in its depths. Although seemingly endless as it has been a readily available element every day, the seas and its resources are finite. Life at sea needs to be respected and kept nourished. Have we done this, or have we contributed to its reckless depletion?
Now, you can get the relaxation you deserve while giving back to the conservation of the very substance that reinvigorates us. Nailaholics will be holding their 4th annual National Pampering Day and this time, pampering will be turned into an ecological saving act tied with self-care. On October 17, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., all Nailaholics branches nationwide will be offering a free manicure, foot spa, or foot massage to its customers who will make a Php50 donation to its partner beneficiary, Save Philippine Seas Organization.
If a free pampering isn’t enough, one lucky donor and a companion will win an all-expense paid trip to Siargao Island. The lucky duo will get to experience the splendour of our seas and take part in a beach clean-up program led by S.E.A. Movement, as well as volunteer to the Siargao Art Recycling Studio.
Abby Borja, Head of Marketing of R2 Group of Exclusive Brands, Inc., shares the core goal for this year’s National Pampering Day: “Contrary to the common perception, caring for one’s self is not a selfish act. We want our customers to feel that while they take care of their own bodies and prioritize their well-being, they can also simultaneously value our environment and summon changes in our lifestyle to protect the planet.”
Choose self-care that saves. It’s time to make your wave, one sea at a time! Visit a Nailaholics branch near you. For a list of their branches and for more information, visit their website and follow them on Facebook.
