A recap of the recent beauty and fashion partnerships of NewJeans, and where we see them heading next
In less than a year, K-Pop girl group NewJeans has been hitting the top charts and making their presence known in the global music scene with their electropop reminiscent of the Y2K era. However, a phenomenon we can’t ignore is their sudden brand partnerships with several fashion and beauty houses as a group and individuals.
So if you’ve been wanting to keep track of their recent deals, we listed down the brands that NewJeans have on their record, as well as our predictions to which label they’ll be signed on to in the future.
Levi’s
The recent announcement of NewJeans as Levi’s newest Global Ambassadors is both exciting and special for the label. The Vice President of Global Brand Marketing, Chris Jackman, commended the group for their genuine and refreshing style they embrace despite the usual flow of trends—an influence that swept across the world. For the label, it only seemed fitting to have them as the face of Levi’s as they celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Levi’s 501 jeans that highlight NewJeans youthful fashion.
A partnership that will last a year, it’s safe to expect a line of campaigns, concerts, and appearances from the girls in their trusty Levi’s. They’re already ahead in their planning as NewJeans is set to perform in Seoul on May 20th, a special date for the brand when they were granted a patent to process riveting pants in 1873.
Hyein for Louis Vuitton
The young K-Pop idol made her first appearance as Louis Vuitton’s Global Ambassador in their recent womenswear show held in Paris. At the age of 14, she made history as she became the youngest ambassador of the French house when they announced their partnership in December of last year.
Hanni for Armani Beauty and Gucci
Hanni went into both beauty and fashion when she signed to become the new face of Armani Beauty and Gucci on February 8, 2023 and October 22, 2022, respectively. She also made her first appearance as the latter’s Global Ambassador during Milan Fashion Week when the Italian house presented their Autumn/Winter collection.
Danielle for Burberry
Early this year, Danielle signed with Burberry to be their Global Ambassador. It’s definitely a different aesthetic compared to NewJeans’ usual Y2K ensembles, but Danielle just proves how versatile she can be with her fashion.
Minji for Chanel
We have yet to see the official photos from Chanel, but Elle Korea made the announcement of Minji’s partnership with the French house last February as she became their new Global Ambassador.
Haerin
Haerin has finally taken her fashion spot with Dior. The K-Pop idol joins Jisoo of BLACKPINK as she becomes the global ambassador that covers fashion, beauty, and jewelry.
