When it came to her hair, however, it seemed that netizens weren’t happy:
Meghan Markle’s hair is coming undone and I want to jump into the tv screen and fix it. I can’t focus on anything else😩 #RoyalWedding

Meghan Markle looks stunning in @givenchy but that one piece of unruly hair that’s separated from the rest is going to haunt me for life #royalwedding

Many expected Meghan’s hair to be in a perfect updo, saying that her slightly unkempt look seemed a little out of place. This led us to another question: was her effortless updo intentional or not?
Her hairstylist, Serge Normant, spoke up to Daily Mail, saying that their “messy bun” was intentional, meaning to match Meghan’s laid back and free-spirited personality: “Messy in a controlled way. Making sure it doesn’t become a whole mess after a few hours! I don’t overload the hair with products in general and certainly not on this day.”
Serge goes on to explain that they wanted to work around an angle that already works for her. “It wasn’t about reinvention. We worked really closely together, but there was nothing contrived about it. We knew what we wanted to do. We wanted something that was effortless and really timeless,” he says.
So there you have it. Just when you thought Meghan couldn’t get any more likeable, her easygoing personality still shines through, even on her big wedding day.
