And as they continue to create beauty products that champions a woman’s confidence, three women were chosen to be their global ambassadors—Ana de Armas, Adut Akech, and Carolyn Murphy.
In an exclusive interview, Ana De Armas recalls her childhood and how it was growing up in a small town. Where dreams needed to be bigger and she had to ensure the path she will be taking. A path that she pursued bravely and confidently— a sentiment that she connects with the story of Estée Lauder.
Ana De Armas learned the ropes of embracing one’s skin and its desires. Having an understanding that everyone has different skin types and one routine can’t simply speak for the majority— she expressed that beauty is beyond what we see.
“Obviously, everyone has different skin types and it’s crazy to speak as if everyone has my skin—what works for me might not work for someone else. But I think sleeping is really good in general. And sunscreen is key. But mostly I think that beauty is about your emotions. How you’re feeling is what comes through.”

As she becomes a global ambassador for Estée Lauder, she hopes to carry on the vision the brand has since the beginning. For women to feel beautiful and confident.
A little inside tip? Ana de Armas shares the biggest beauty lesson she learned in her years of artistry.
“Stay out of the sun. I’ve been hearing that since I can remember. Obviously, Cuba is a very tropical and sunny place. My mom was always saying to stay out of the sun. And then of course later on I understood why. I think it’s probably the most important thing we can do.”
