Here’s what we know so far about what James Reid has been up to in the City of Angels.

When James Reid broke the news that he was bound for LA to pursue music, fans were equally happy and sad about the Careless Founder and Chairman’s plans.
Before leaving the country, he released singles and MVs and even promoted the artists under his label. And it looks like we’re in for more music from the Careless man himself in the coming months! He might be sneaky and quite mum about the rest of his activities.
1. He’s been spotted with music artists.
In his update last March 10 via Instagram, James included a snap with Anderson .Paak during Dumbfoundead‘s birthday party. Anderson .Paak is a Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter, drummer, and producer. Meanwhile, Dumbfoundead is a rapper and actor under Transparent Arts, the label that also manages Reid. James also shared a meal with LA trio Far East Movement who is also under the company.
DJ Flict also posted a photo of him and James in the studio, so we might be in for a treat sooner than we think. DJ Flict or Chris Aparri is a Filipino Grammy-nominated music producer who has worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony and Zendaya for their albums.
2. He just attended his first Oscar party.
James was a glowing dapper gentleman as he walked the carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party. According to Hollywood Correspondent Yong Chavez, he was kind enough to spare two minutes for a short interview with her.
#JamesReid is here! He said he’s a bit starstruck at the moment – but I’d say he’s holding his own beside Hollywood stars. His publicist at first said no to interviews but glad he stopped when I yelled my affiliation haha. Great to meet and chat with him! #oscars #EJAFOscars pic.twitter.com/BaqhSkdkkj

3. He released a collab single (and MV!) with artists Jay B and ØZI.
Filipino fans were ecstatic when James revealed that he would be releasing a second version of his song, “Hello” with singer-songwriter (and leader of K-Pop group GOT7) Jay B and hip-hop artist ØZI. He also released a star-studded music video for “Hello 2.0” featuring Nadine Lustre (and Cal, their Corgi!), Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, Nancy of MOMOLAND, Maris Racal, Ylona Garcia, Mimiyuuuh, Vanness Wu, Jay Park, and many more.
